Allegria, a living estate

Allegria is a wine estate, but it is much more than that.

Over the years, around our vineyards, we have sown flowers, created a vegetable garden, welcomed hens and imagined new ways of using what we grow. Today, the estate provides us with our own flowers, some of the vegetables, aromatic herbs and edible flowers served at La Table d’Allegria, the eggs from our hens and our sparkling grape juice.

The Allegria flower farm

Local, seasonal flowers grown among the vines

Between our vineyard plots, we have created a flower farm. Zinnias, cosmos and dahlias grow here with the seasons, under the Languedoc sun.

It all began with the desire to decorate the long tables of La Table d’Allegria with our own flowers, picked just a few hours before dinner. They have not travelled across Europe by truck or plane. They were born and grown here, just a few metres from the vines.

Workshops among the flowers

We also love opening the flower farm for workshops: picking, arranging and leaving with your arms full of colour.

For florists

Today, we share our harvest with florists, decorators and event professionals looking for French, locally grown, seasonal flowers.

  • Season: June to October
  • Varieties: zinnias, cosmos, dahlias
  • Collection from the estate in Caux or delivery around Pézenas

The vegetable garden

A little further on, tomatoes, courgettes, butternut squash, aromatic herbs and edible flowers grow in the sun before making their way into the kitchen at La Table d’Allegria. What arrives on your plate has often been picked that very morning.

The hens

They are part of everyday life at the estate. They peck around, recycle some of our leftovers, enrich the soil and give us their eggs.

The grape juice

With our organic grapes, we wanted to create something other than wine. That is how our pure sparkling Cinsault grape juice was born.

Alcohol-free, it is best served very cold, over ice, with a sprig of rosemary picked at the estate.

Tomorrow, honey and olive oil

We are never short of ideas.

A few beehives to produce Allegria honey, olive trees to one day press our own oil. We move forward step by step, following the seasons, our ideas and what the land allows us to do.

The WWOOFers who stay at the estate and lend a hand also take part in the adventure.

Allegria means joy

The name was not chosen by chance.

Here, we plant, experiment, cook and welcome people. Everything we grow eventually finds its way to a table, among friends, clinking glasses and bouquets from the garden.

A love of beauty and good things, celebration and sharing: that is Allegria.
